InAstroneer, you explore a huge world full of planets and resources.
That is why we have prepared 5 steps that should be performed when you start a new game.
These actions will greatly help you with your first contact withAstroneer.
With the following steps, you will quickly expand your base with basic objects and get your first vehicle.
Tethers can be crafted directly in the backpack usingCompoundmaterial.
This is a basic and common resource - the picture above shows its appearance.
You shouldn’t have problems finding it.
Do you have problems with supplying oxygen to the tethers?
Check out"How to connect tethers to an Oxygenator?“page.
Craft a Small Printer
Small Printeris a small tool for creating other objects.
It does not require a connection to an energy source, so you could use it anywhere.
It is also very easy to produce - you will create it in a backpack usingCompound.
Thanks to a Small Printer, you’re able to create several useful objects.
For example, anOxygenatorto deliver oxygen or aTractor(as described below).
Create a Large Printer and a Large Platform
Large Printeris another object for creating other objects.
Without it, the objects won’t work.
To create a Large Printer you need3x Compound(the resource from which you made the tethers).
A Large Platform requires2x Resin- this is a yellow resource found in caves.
Create a Smelting Furnace
Smelting Furnaceis an extremely important object.
Thanks to it, you’re free to process seemingly unnecessary materials into useful resources.
For example, it’s possible for you to turnHematiteinto very usefulIron.
Once you are done, place it on aLarge Platformand connect to a power source (e.g.
to the main base).
Want to know exactly how to get Iron?
Take a look at “How to get iron?”
page in our guide.
Create a Tractor
The last step is to make a vehicle calledTractor.
This inconspicuous car will greatly facilitate your gameplay.
To create the vehicle, you need aSmall Printerand2x Aluminum.
Aluminum can be obtained by puttingLateritein aSmelting Furnace- Laterite is often found in caves.

You have problems with crating Aluminum?
