We explain step by step how to take over cities and get access to cannons.
Our tips will help you eliminate all the Traders transporting supplies to the Lithuanians and conquer Smolensk.

The map below contains key locations and points in the Moscow versus Lithuania mission.
Taking over cities
You will start the mission by conquering 3 small towns.
By taking over each settlement, you will unlock different military buildings.
Select your army and head east to the city of Vyazma.
Destroy the wooden gate and eliminate all units defending the village.
Then start recruiting new warriors and set up a Rally Point in front of the west gate.
Send a Scout to investigate the nearby area and pick up all the supply crates you could find.
Then go to Roslavl and take over the settlement.
The Stable and the Monastery will be located in this city.
Don’t attack the 3rd settlement yet.
Take over the city of Krasny first, which will give you access to cannons and other siege machines.
In Roslavl, build the Barracks and create a new infantry and cavalry unit.
Order the infantry to build some battering rams, then take the road north.
Use rams to attack the guard tower and gate and eliminate all enemy units to take over Krasny city.
Then raze the enemy’s buildings.
Once you reach the 4th era, build a University and research Chemistry.
In place of the destroyed Lithuanian settlement, erect some military buildings and a Monastery.
Then position your troops behind the north gate of Krasna and produce some additional cannons.
Place the new unit at the end of the road running from the north gate of the city.
Send one cannon to the unit stationed between Roslavl and Vyazma and capture the 3rd town, Yelnya.
This settlement contains Archery Range buildings.
Quickly start producing new ranged units and command them to join the other troops.
Cutting off Lithuanian supplies
After conquering the last city, new mission objectives will appear.
A few cannons should quickly crack down on the wooden fortifications and buildings.
Send the troops waiting by Krasny to the Traders heading from the northwest.
Wait on both sides of Smolensk and eliminate all enemy units appearing on the trails.
Gather your troops and attack Smolensk from two sides.
Use cannons to demolish the gates and outposts and take out all units blocking access to the city.
Then attack the stone walls.
Once inside, quickly dispose of the enemy siege machines.
You should aim one of your cannons at the Lithuanian ranged units.
Once all enemy units have been eliminated, the mission will be completed.
