The topic of the traitor starts when you do the saga (series of quests) in theGrantebridgescireregion.
Soma’s trusted circle of advisors/captains includesBirna, Galinn and Lif.
Eivor can also meet with each of Soma’s captains and complete related minor tasks.
Lastly, you will have to return to Soma.
The traitor is Galinn.
Galinn will be executed immediately.
You will also have an additional boss fight with Galinn.
The wrong choice will of course worsen your relation with Soma significantly.
