End of the Beginning is the first main quest in Dragon Age Veilguard.

A little further on you’ll start to encounterhostile Venatori cultistswho placered barriersin your path.
Destroythe crystalsto unlock the passage further.
After the fight, interact with the blue barrier to meet andrecruit Neve.
How to get to Solas?
The detective will join your party.
Your next goal isto reach Solasand stop him.
Run along the narrow walkways and slide down the zip-lines towardsthe docks.
You’ll encounter more demons along the way - completethe ranged combat tutorial.
After the tutorial,Neve will fire up the door to Solas' hideout.
It opens the door leading further.
A little further on, after passing through Solas' office, you will come acrossan eluvian-an ancient portal.
Go through it to reachArlathan Forest, where Solas performs his ritual.
Right after reaching the forest, you’ll encounteranother tutorial- you’ll facearmored enemiesfor the first time.
Armor is markedwith yellow health bars, and you’re free to destroy itwith charged attacks.
The ritual site is not far away - continue along the linear corridor until you come acrossa pride demon.
How to stop the ritual?
After defeating the boss, watch the cut-scene.You must choose whether to support Varric’s plan or not.
Harding or Neve?
You will receivea significant relationship boostwith your chosen companion.
As a consequence, she will suffer injuries and will be leftwith scars on her face.
The statue will fall on Solas and interrupt his ritual.
After a few cut-scenes and conversations,you will complete the questand reachthe Lighthouse- your base of operations.
