Necromancer Emmrich will join your team in the second act of Dragon Age Veilguard.

Emmrich is a member of the Mourn Watch from the Great Necropolis.
On this page of the guide you will find a detailed walkthrough of all of Emmrich’s quests.
As soon as you spot it,talk to the mage.
This will activate theWalking the Gravesquest.
If you go too far with the the main storyline, some companions' quests may become unavailable later!

You will arrive at the Necropolis gardens.
This will improve your relations with the necromancer.
In later conversationsyou will also be able to select options marked with a heart.

Select them if you are interested in romancing Emmerich.
Apart from conversations, your task will beto follow the necromancers and light candles.
it’s possible for you to do this by approaching the marked candles and pressing the action button.

At the end of the quest you will also learnEmmrich’s special ability, which activatesspecial bells.
After another conversation,the quest will end.
Go to the locationnorthwest of the Grand Necropolis.

Head towards the haunted mansion.
Go inside, then follow the quest marker tothe large room in the building’s right wing.
As you explore the area, keep an eye out for the crypt in front of the mansion.

Underground, you will find an optional boss at level 35.
If your character is not developed enough, do not even take a stab at start this fight.
Collect the key lying next to the door surrounded by runes.

Use it to kick off the door in the corridor with books -to the left of the runic door.
At the end of the corridor you will find a bedroom wherea demonic ritualtook place.
Wait for Emmrich to disenchant the ritual site, then go tothe next locked door.

you might now return tothe rune-sealed door.
They will lead you to a portal that will take youbeyond the Veil.
To get through the closed gate,take the path that branches off to the right before the bridge.

Use Emmrich’s ability tocalm the spriteon the ledge.
Lead the sprite tothe stone platform- this will kick off the gate.
After a short platforming sequence, you will meetHezenkoss- a necromancer and former friend of Emmrich.

Emmrich will use them to create a passage through which you will leave the demonic dimension.
After returning, you will have to fight a boss -Rampant Ego.
After returning to the Lighthouse and speaking with Emmrich about his former companion,the quest will be completed.

you might enter the mansion via a ladder to the left of the main entrance.
Once you get into the manor,head to the balcony.
Wait here for a moment and observe Manfred.

You will overhear a conversation that will direct you tothe library.
Take the book to Manfred.
Manfred will bring up the way for you to the elevator leading toHezenkoss’s workshop.

The path forward is linear and filled with undead.
Wait until Emmrich tries to free the souls trapped within.
You will fight Hezenkoss.
