Starting the quest
The mission starts automatically after completing the previous quest -Strength in Numbers.
Head toWaywardand follow theDuchessto the top section of the room.
Talk to Crane
You will meetCrane.
Talk to him and then have a conversation with theDuchessandSol.
Go to the Gauley Mine Exit
Now head to theGauley Mine Exit.
It is located near theGauley Mine, a place you visited during theStrength in Numbersquest.
Go inside - after a while, you will run into a few low-level opponents.
Go to the corridor on the right to reach the objective.
However, you should first go along the tracks to the upper part of the location.
You will find a chest with some valuable items.
After collecting the loot, go to the aforementioned corridor to the right of the mine entrance.
In the next room, you will find someScorchedand a door locked with a password.
The scanning process will begin.
After a while, the entrance will be opened.
Select treasure
You are in a room with a few vending machines.
The weapons fromCrane’streasure are legendary and they scale with your character level (up to level 50).
Scaling only affects the basic statistics of the weapons.
After selecting this dialog option, the attacking group will leave theWayward.
This will give you the mask - it increases damage and energy resistance.
Regardless of how the conflict is resolved, you will finishThe Elusive Cranequest.
You will receive anotherFallout 76 Wastelandersmission calledThe New Arrivals.
