Defeat fanatics who will appear in the area.
Lilith will help you in battle.
After the battle, talk to her and go to Shiv’s Sanctum.

Get to the passage leading toThe Droughts.
This is the first large location that can be explored freely, outside of main quests.
Look around the Crimson Command.
Go to the location where Sun Smasher Chief is.
You have to go through a medium-sized location guarded by enemies.
Watch out for, e.g.
Shotgun Tink - their shotguns can do a lot of damage at a short distance.
Enter the building whereVaughnis imprisoned.
Shoot the chain to free him.
Talk with Vaughn, and go to the place where Lilith is.
If you haven’t donePowerful Connectionsside quest yet, you could come across monster lairs.
While attacking it, watch out for the monster marked as badass.
It is stronger and more durable.
