Forging Destiny main quest in God of War Ragnarok is about getting the Draupnir Spear.

Forging Destinyis one of the most important quests ofGod of War Ragnarok.
Our guide showshow to forge the Draupnir Spearand how to use it correctly (combat, weak points).

Find a path to the surface
The quest startsonce you’re back to Svartalfheim.
You enter a new region -Myrkr Tunnels.
As you arrive at a locked gate,set the oily substance on fire with the Blades of Chaos.
A explosion will occur, unlocking a path forward.
Defeat more monsters and talk to Sindri.
Move the cart and you will reacha puzzle involving Twilight Stones.
Interact with the chain andask Freja to create a seal in the spotshown in the screenshot.
Throw the Leviathan Axe at it.
Defeat the Bergsra (watch out and dodge her red attacks) and use the new pathway.
You will reacha room with troughs and water wheels.
There are 2 puzzles here.
The first one is very easy.Freeze a section of the trough above the wheel(screenshot above).
A narrow passage will be revealed - use it.
Deal with encountered Nightmares and other opponents.
Climb to the upper ledge andreach the water through control mechanism- we show it in the screenshot above.
Interacting with the mechanism will rotate one of the throughs.
Return to the hall with troughs (you could unlock a shortcut along the way).
Moreover, attack the beasts one at a time.
Destroy the Nightmare Haunt to release the lift
Brok will become Kratos' new companion.
As you travel, destroy the monster nests you encounter to stop them from appearing.

You’ll need to get there by choosing the mountain path to the right.
Kratos and Brokwill reach an area that involves a puzzlein which you better set a wheel in motion.
Start bysetting bushes on fire with Blades of Chaos.
Climb a nearby shelf andfreeze the geyser by using the Leviathan.
Move a little, retrieve the axe andthrow it at the second geyser(screenshot above).
The lift is now activated.
Stand at the platform,turn towards Brok and ask him to use the mechanism (Square).
After exiting the lift, turn right andclimb to the highest ledge.
Ask Brok to use the mechanism again (Square).
You must throw the Leviathan Axe at the newly exposed geyser(screenshot above).
After the geyser is frozen, ask Brok to use the mechanism one last time.
Thewheel will be set in motion -wait until the exit is unlocked.
Retrieve the axe and reach the exit.
Return to the very bottom i.e.
to the area where you’ve learned of the blockade.
Brok and Kratos can now use the platform toreach The Forge.
Perform these actions a total of 2 times.
Forge the weapon
Return to the damaged lever - you might now use it.
To equip it, simply press d-pad down.
Later in the game you’ll also unlock upgrades and the ability to add light and heavy runic attacks.
After the throw,detonate the spear, and it will dump the path.
you’re able to now begin a new climbing sequence that involves the spear.
Further ahead, the heroes will encounter a large boulder.
After the spear is in place, detonate it and the barricade will be destroyed.
Squeeze between the rocks and get rid of incoming opponents.
In the new locationyou have to use the spear as a climbing rod for the first time.
After the battle is won, find another weak point and detonate the spear.
Descend using the rope.
Expect battles where you’ll face, among others, Einherjar warriors - watch out for their bifrost attacks.
Switch between weapons to make the battle as easy as possible.
The main pathwill lead you to a cart- use it.
Head toward the water.
At the place in the picture,use the spear as a climbing rod.
This will allow you to reach the newMystic Gateway-Nidavellir Beach.
Use it to return to Sindri’s House.
Talk to Sindri andgo rest.
A new scene with Faye will be activated - get behind her and follow the marked route by swimming.
You will return to controlling Atreus in the next main quest calledUnleashing Hel.
