This punch in of enemy appears for the first time in the seventh mission - The Stranded Dead.
Tracks on the ground
you could track your opponents byfollowing the footprints on the ground.
They are often visible enough that you might easily assess the direction they went and the exact position.
Every time you hit a lamp it produces a wave that shows the opponents within a certain radius.
Remember, however, that if the opponent is minimally outside the field, it will not be shown.
Lightning
The Stranded Dead mission takes place during a storm.
Each lightning bolt illuminates the map and thus shows you the positions of your enemies.
The same goes for opponents who are busy with something else.
