Professor Garlick’s Assignment 1is a mandatory assignment inHogwarts Legacy.
The quest’s relation to the main plot
Completing this assignment is mandatory.
you oughta complete them in 100% to proceed toThe High Keepmain quest.
The mentioned main questrequires the spell Wingardium Leviosaand Professor Garlick will teach you it for completing her assignment.
To do this, visit theDogweed and Deathcap shop- it’s on the northern edge ofHogsmeade.
The Venomous Tentacula costs600 gold.
A more difficult and time-consuming method is to make Venomous Tentacula yourself.
This is a good solution if you also want to use it in the future.
In the same shop you might buy aVenomous Tentacula Seed- it costs1,050 gold.
This is not the only requirement, becauseyou also need a Potting Table with a Large Pot.
By default, you only have a table with a small pot.
Visit theTomes and Scrolls shopin Hogsmeade.
Buy any table that meets the requirements - it should cost1,000 gold.
Return to the Room of Requirement.
It takes 10 Moonstones to conjure a table.
Place the Venomous Tentacula seed in the large pot.
You have to wait 15 minutes for it to fully grow.
Then it’s possible for you to take the object.
After getting 1 Venomous Tentacula,bring up the tool wheel(L1/LB).
grab the obtained tool and activate it (press L1/LB).
Visit theDogweed and Deathcap shop.

This is a good solution if you also want to use it in the future.
In the same shop it’s possible for you to buy aMandrake Seed- it costs800 gold.
Return to the Room of Requirement and use thePotting Table with a Small Pot.
Place the Mandrake seed in a small pot.
You have to wait 10 minutes for it to fully grow.
Then you’re free to take the object.
After obtaining 1 Mandrake,bring up the tool wheel(L1/LB).
grab the tool, butdon’t activate the Mandrake yet.
keep your gameso you don’t accidentally waste Mandrake.
Visit any location with a large number of enemies, e.g.
Wait for several monsters to approach you anduse Mandrake(press L1/LB).
You should pass the challenge, because the tool will affect several enemies with its effect.
Attend Herbology Class during the day
Return to theHerbology class.
The whole lesson is a cut-scene - talk to Professor Garlick after it’s over.
If you play on a controller, use the D-pad to move the object.
