The heroes of Darksiders Genesis can be developed.
This way you will be better at fighting the opponents and therefore much more effective in completing story missions.

Thanks to this, your characters will have new abilities.
Some upgrades can be found during exploration.
They aren’t required to complete the storyline; however, they will greatly facilitate the gameplay.
Skills
You get new skills by discovering secrets.
New skills only help in combat, they don’t affect the way you could solve puzzles.
you could complete the game without getting skills, they aren’t necessary to defeat opponents.
However, they are very helpful during battles.
Items and inventory
Complete the story missions to get upgrades.
Their primary use is to make solving the puzzles easier.
You will find:
You develop passive skills as you progress through the story missions.
You will get them from defeated enemies.

Are there any experience/lvl points in the game?
Darksiders Genesis has no experience points nor levels.
Cores are the only thing affecting your character’s stats.
