The fight with the boss is already difficult - more enemies will only make things get worse.
Also, the boss can summon another minion even when the previous one is still alive.
Besides the crystal, his attacks are based mainly on swinging the daggers.
It is important to be close to him - his attacks won’t reach you.
His second phase starts when he starts to remove handle parts from his chest.

Now, sticking to his legs/back isn’t enough because his attacks have a very large range.

The projectile is quite maneuverable - dodge at the last moment when the missile is near you.
