This task will begin after you snag defeated Sprout, the first boss.
You will be asked to do so by the Taro siblings.
On the way, you should come across the first important location, namely The Village.
The Village will initially be deserted.
Your task will be to cleanse the village of evil.
To do so, go deep into The Village.
Once you head deeper into the village, you will notice a shift in the mood.
After defeating all the enemies, use Rot to wipe the location, then use Pulse.
This will cleanse most of The Village.
Your next objective will be to head to the shrine.
The road goes over a bridge.
Head toward the shrine with the large mask.
Then stand on the platform from the screenshot and use Pulse.
when you land used Pulse, you will receive Taro’s Mask.
The mask will allow you to find hidden Rot at the passageways to the various gates.
it’s possible for you to wear it to notice things that aren’t visible in the real world.
After getting Taro’s Mask, head to the center of The Village again.
There you will see a barrier with the mask you have obtained on it.
With it, you will be able to get to the other side.
Nevertheless, your main objective is to head up the mountain.
There you will see, among other things, the previously encountered Taro siblings.
Your goal will be to defeat the enemies that appear in the uncleansed area.
Here you will also learn for the first time how to heal during combat.
To heal, you will need a full Courage meter and the object pictured in the screenshot.
You should only heal if you know that your opponent’s next hit could prove fatal to you.
After the fight is over, cleanse the forest.
Then, you will spot a Forest Tear.
Among other things, the Forest Tear serves to unify all Rot into their original form.
To move on, destroy all the obstacles around you using Rot.
By doing so, you will create a renewed, true form of Rot.
Afterwards, you will need to destroy all the obstacles around you again.
You should mainly focus on cleaning the sculpture visible in the screenshot.
This will earn you a trophy and a large amount of in-game currency.
Then cleanse the other roads.
After clearing out the obstacles, you should head up and start climbing the walls.
After a successful climb, you should reach another Warp Stone.
In combat, you could use Rot’s true form.
In the meantime, destroy the obstacles, because behind one of them, there is a healing object.
After defeating the enemies and cleansing the forest, the Forest Tear will reappear.
On the left of the screenshot, a side road can be seen.
The main road has small lamps next to it.
you might also head up to the abandoned house that is blocked by corruption.
Use Rot’s true form to dump the way and get inside.
Then contine onwards, following the lamps.
Moving on, you will find yourself in the second part of the forest.
The forest’s aura will shift to a darker one.
When you reach this point, a short cut-scene will play.
After the cut-scene, the quest requiring you to find Taro will be completed.
The next task will be to find Rusu.
