Completing itunlocks their Bond, letting you develop it.
Pets become available inChapter 4at the earliest.
You must first unlock the farm, which can become a new home for them.
Each interaction with it ends in a bathhouse visit.
After the last visit you’re free to adopt the cat.
It lies on the ground in thecentral part of the Rakugai district (East Umekojicho).
You must give it money, with the last donation requiring 1 Ryo.
The lucky cat will run east.
Defeat the bandits you’ll encounter there to gain 5 Ryo and adopt the cat.
After fully developing the Bond, Ryoma will prevent the dog from being euthanized and adopt it.
At the end of the substory you’ll learn the dog’s being abused by two thugs.
Ryoma will deal with them and adopt the dog.
you’re free to bring it food - any food from your inventory will do.
After maxing out the Bond you’ll learn the dog’s previous owner has died.
Ryoma will then adopt it.
Pets can get you rewards.
After completing a Trade Order, the questgiver might leave a gift for one of the animals.
Said gift is always a rare crafting material.
