Here you will learn more about fighting styles, EX Boost and EX actions.

The speed and strength of these attacks depend on the fighting style that is currently active.

Each style offers different attacks and combinations.

Some attacks require you to assume a fighting stance.

PC

you’re free to block attacks by pressing L1/LB, provided the enemy is in front of you.

Only the Snake Style allows you to block attacks from all directions.

Attacks with melee or ranged weapons cannot be blocked.

PC

The carried object can be used as a weapon or shield.

Pressing Circle/B again will cause Yagami to throw the held object at the opponent.

Yagami can pick up weapons dropped by an enemy and sometimes perform special EX actions that require a weapon.

PC

While close to the enemy, Yagami can grab him and wrestle him to the ground.

Fighting styles

The current fighting style is displayed in the upper left corner of the screen.

you’re free to change the style at any time by pressing directional button down.

Yagami’s aura color corresponds with the currently chosen style.

You cannot disarm bosses or other powerful opponents.

you could also choose to conserve your EX by holding down L2/LT, which will cancel the action.

The object used in the EX action will be destroyed once the action concludes.

The EX meter is charged by:
