How to grow barley?
Ale is the end product of a rather long production chain that begins with barley.
It is a crop that it’s possible for you to grow on farmlands and harvest on your farm.
If your land is not suitable for growing barley, consider importing it at a trading post.
Buying barley will cost you less than buying products made from it.
How to brew ale?
Once you get the barley, you oughta turn it into malt.
Building an advanced extension will permanently assign one of the residents to serve in it.

After a brewery employee makes ale, you must start distributing it to settlers -this requires building an inn.
