This page of theNieR Automatagame guidelists tradersthat appear in the game world.
Traders can sell a variety of goods or specialize in a particular field.
For example, they might exclusively sell chips or weapons.
Traders with specific specializations are guaranteed to stock higher quality items.
Completing it will allow you to progress further in the main storyline.
The Weapons Trader sells unique melee weapons.
you’re able to also pay them to upgrade your weapons (only up to Level 3).
The Maintenance Shop Owneris available from the start of the game.
Additionally, you’re able to upgrade pods and fuse your chips.
Devola and Popola sell unique melee weapons, some rare chips and various consumables.
City Ruins traders
Emilis a unique trader in the game.
We discussed this in more detail in theEmil’s Item Shopquest walkthrough on theCity Ruinsside quest page.
They are in the Desert Camp on the border of the City Ruins and the Desert Zone.
You’ll find them in one of the side alleys.
The Shopkeeper Machine sells various crafting ingredients.
The Weapons Trader Machineis a machine that appears in the Machine Village from the start, i.e.
The Weapons Trader Machine sells unique melee weapons.

Pascal can stock the Machine Heads unique weapon and rare crafting components.
You must complete this quest to unlock the trade option.
The Canyon Machine sellsgood quality chips(from Level 0 up to and including Level 5).
Forest Castle traders
The Forest Blacksmith Masamuneis in a safe house in the castle grounds.
We described in detail how to reach this blacksmith on theLevel four weapons - how to get?page.
Other than that,as the only blacksmith they can upgrade weapons to the highest level 4.
As you progress through the game, their stock will expand.
Terminal lets you buy healing items and other consumables and chips.
The Maintenance Shop Owneris a trader who only appears in the bunker after progressing to Route B.
They can be found in one of the larger storage rooms.
Additionally, you could use this character’s services to upgrade pods and fuse chips.
