Free the boat
You must free the boat after it got stuck.
You’ll eventually hear some animal sounds.
Don’t move for a while to unlock asouvenir - The Stag’s Roar.
Both paths eventually converge in the same place - you must move an obstacle and squeeze past some rocks.
The light will chase the rats away, letting you safely reach a distant platform.
Once you’re there,command Lucas to use the crank.
This will move another hanging hay bale.
Set it on fire with the Ignifier.
Use the Ignifier vessel to chase away more rats as well.You’llreach another platform.
Keep working with Lucas, twisting more cranks and setting fire to more hay bales.
From now onyou can find Pyrites as loot.
have a go at always have some in store in case you make a mistake and get swarmed.
Use another crank and once you let go, quickly set another hay bale on fire with the Ignifier.
You may now move on.
On the new platformgrab a stick and throw it to Lucas(pictured above).
He’ll set the stick on fire and use it to reach the next platform.
After looting the chest run for the next platform.
Prepare your slingshot andshoot the hooknext to Lucas to let him proceed.
You’ll come across a newworkbenchon the way.
Grab a stick from the basket, set it on fire and enter the rat swarm.
You must safely reach the lit basket.
You’ll find someplanks it’s possible for you to undermineto unlock a narrow passage.
You’ll also learna large ferry crossing chain is blocking the river.
Try using the crankto bring the ferry closer.
Unfortunately it’ll get stuck, so you’ll need to investigate the issue.
Look around the area’s borders.
You cango under the boards and ask Lucas to catch a cart.
This will unlock the way forward.
Make your way through the contaminated area untilyou reach the corpse stuck in the mechanism.
Wait for Lucas to pull in the ferry.
Get on board andask Lucas to let go of the crank.
You’ll reach the opposite side of the river.
Climb onto the crate and from it to the top.
In the next area you must reach therotating mechanism - using it moves the platform.
Move it to the area you came from.
You must now return to the previous location.
To do so,shoot the hook with your slingshot(pictured above).
This unlocks a new bridge.
Walk over it and squeeze past the boards.
Start pushing the cart again.
This time you must place it on the platform you’ve just moved (pictured above).
Return to the rotating mechanism.
Climb onto it to trigger a cutscene.
Help Lucas
You must use a stationary crossbowmounted on the boat.
Save Lucas before the enemies kill him.
Now you mustcreate a lighted way to the boat for Lucas.
Firstchange the bolt pop in- hold R1/RB on the controller to pull up the menu and selectIgnifier Bolts.
Shoot wooden surfaces with them to create light.

Lucas will successfully reach the boat and you’ll continue going down the river.
