Getting a mop is one of the main tasks in Part 1 in Return to Monkey Island.

Go toHigh Streetand head to theJail.
Exit the prison and visit theLocksmith, which is on the opposite side of the courtyard.

The book is also available in Hard Mode.
The first clue is Carla’s poster to the left of SCUMM Bar in the docks.

Reach theGovernor’s Mansion.
Open your inventory anduse the Pen on the frog.
This will allow you to start writing your apology.
If you make a mistake, you’re free to correct the apology any number of times.
Return to theSCUMM Barin the docks.
There are two new people in the bar.
One of them isClean-Looking Pirate.
You will learn from him that he is waiting for a specific meal to be prepared.
Go to the kitchenand talk to the cook.

Go back to Wally’s Maps-n-Moreon Low Street.

Return to the island map andhead to the Shipyard, Stan’s former place of business.
Go right and examine a small object on the ground (Strange Mass).You will get a Sponge.
you could nowcombine the handle and the sponge in your inventory.
This will allow you to successfullymake your own mop.
