Sir Ansbach is a hero exclusive to the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.

Where to find Ansbach?
Talk to him and exhaust all dialogue options.
This is a predefined plot event that you have no influence on.
However, it will change the attitude of many NPCs, pushing many quests forward.
Where to find the Secret Rite Scroll?
The man is absorbed in reading, in a small room at the back of the location.
Your first task will be to find theSecret Rite Scroll.
There’s one more thing you should do before returning.
Go to theseventh floor of the Storehouse.
Activate the site of grace there and a little further,Freyja will appear next to the fireplace.
Exhaust the heroine’s dialogue options and thenreturn to Ansbach on the first floor.
When talking to Ansbach, you will be able to choosetwo dialogue options.
First,inform him about Freyja’s actions.
Then give him theSecret Rite Scrollyou found.
ensure Ansbach finds out about Freyja first.
Giving him the Scroll first may prevent you from further progressing the heroine’s quest.
After resetting the location (e.g.
at the site of grace)talk to Ansbach againand he will give you aletter to Freyja.
you’re free to give it to the heroine on the seventh floor.
