How to return to Dalin?
The missionWishful Thinkingwill start immediately after completingThe Forge of Progress.Climb the steel stairs leading back to the institute.
Enter the building andfollow the mission marker leading to the right.
In the large room,head up the stairs.
Dalin and Korshunovwill be waiting for you in the control room.
After the conversation, the doctor will send youback to the large roomwhere you will make your wish.
Monolith
Go down the stairs.Two spectersare kneeling in front of the pedestal.
Interact with each of them to seevisions.
Finally,interact with the third specter that will appear before you.
You will be attacked by the Ward.
After some time,Skif will wake up.
It turns outthe whole fight was just a hallucination.
What to do with Hermann?
After talking to the doctor,leave the room and head to the glass-walled office.
The woman will let youdecide the fate of the treacherous scientist.
Who to support in the conflict?
In the large hall you will encounterWard and Noontide soldiers led by Dubny.
Talk to the Noontide commander.
Choosing one of the factions will affectthe ending of the missionandwhat quests you will receive after completingWishful Thinking.

Activating the Monolith
Run into the tunnel.
Defeat a few Ward soldiers.
A moment later you will meetStrider.
Watcha long cut-scenein the chamber where the experiment is being conducted.
After that,the mission will end.
