Start
You’ll receive this mission at the Cordeliers Convent, after completing theTo Les Invalidesquest.
The questgiver isLavoisier, who’ll give you the quest if you ask him about what to do next.
He’ll ask you to give the gunpowder to him.
Les Invalides
Head toLes Invalides.
From the square where you’ll arrive via the Horseless Carriage,go through the gate to the left.
Immediately behind it,to the left, is a depot.
Though the game at first suggests you find four clues, these are enough to continue.
Your next destination is the Bastille.
In the room behind themyou can unlock the gateto the right.
In the corridorturn to the first room on the left.
You’ll finda letter and a keyon the desk.
you might use the key to access thesewers.
Get there bygoing straight down the corridor, past the Vestal.
In the room behind her there’s abreach in the wall.Jump through it.
The underground entrance isright opposite of where you landed.
It’s hidden behind a breakable wall in the riverbank.
The first room in the lower part of the sewers holds aHarvester(more about them on theSerpentspage.
Enter the short tunnel behind this room andpull yourself up through the hole in the ceiling.
kick off the gate behind you to unlock a newshortcut.
The main path leads through a wide tunnel and ends with astaircase leading down.
You’ll encounter aMiner and a Courieron the way (more about it on theArachnidspage).
Go downstairs and launch the gate with the key you got from the Bastille.
Approaching it triggerstwo possible interactions: leaving the mechanism alone or using it.
Leaving it alone fulfillsla Fayette’srequest.
Using it destroys the gunpowder, asLavoisierasked you to.
Regardless of your choice,you must return to the Conventand report back to the questgiver.
