During it, you’ll learn the fate of Athenais de Vaucanson and discover the origins of Aegis.

You will reach Vaucanson’s Townhouse, Comte de Cagliostro’s Workshop and Athenais' hiding place.

Vaucanson’s Townhouse

The opportunity to complete this task appears duringTo Les Invalidesquest.

There is a golden gate opposite to the1 Vestal.

Continueby entering the building.

You’ll find an Echo there, and unlock a new location -Luxembourg Gardens.

Luxembourg - Athenais' hiding place

Finding Athenais' secret hideout requires another visit to Luxembourg Gardens.

The path to it is described in detail onThe Shadows of Luxembourgpage of the guide.

This time, however, you might use a shortcut (depending on whether you’ve unlocked it).

This will shorten the route.

At the Cordelier Conventtalk toMirabeau- he will tell you the identity of the mysterious man.

Only after you take care of the Dauphin quest, the man will return to the Convent.

you’ve got the option to now speak to him regarding Athenais.

Inside the crypt of this legendary alchemist, you’ll find a key toComte de Cagliostro’s Workshop.

You must go there.

Don’t forget to collect theEcholocated in front of the stairs near the building.

Optionally, you could also search the 1st floor.

you might find it on the table opposite the stairs.The action also unlocksan Echo.

A shortcut is found there.Now return to the Cordelier Convent.

The man will launch the mysterious box for you.

Xbox

The task is now concluded, and you’ll receive another Echo.
