Disabling the Citadel’s laser is a mandatory mission objective in System Shock Remake.

Mining laseris one of the main elements of the Citadel you explore in the game.
SHODAN charges it to shoot an energy beam towards Earth and destroy our civilization.
Your main goal should be todeactivate the laser.
There you will findScience keycard.
you might use it to open theLibrary doorin the southeast part of the map.
Go to the last room in the library and find acyberspace terminal.
you’re gonna wanna connect to the connection and destroy the lock from picture 1.
The game should display a message about obtaining theSafety Override Code.
After leaving cyberspace, thecode 485should appear on one of the screens.
The picture shows thepassage to Safety Override.
Your destination is thecontrol panel with keyboard.
You mustenter code 485, and thenpull the leverunlocked on the right.
You should receive the message Safety Interlocks Disabled.
Then go to theControl Room.
Get to the console with theLaser Chargingtext andpush the buttonvisible in the picture.
If you did all the steps correctly, the laserwill go offlineinstead of shooting an energy beam at Earth.
SHODAN will comment on your success.
