Jump laser turrets have been a problem since the very beginning of the System Shock Remake game.
Finding turrets
You will start encounteringHopper laser turretfrom the first level - Medical.
They are a big problem becausethey do a lot of damageand they can be tough.
You canrun or sneakbehind the turrets that are facing the other way.
Once they see you,they can, as the name suggests, start hopping.
Don’t treat them as just stationary threats.
Firearms
Don’t fight them until you get your first gun.
Attacking an active turret with a melee weapon is suicide.
Do not bother with destroying 100% of the turrets, because SHODAN can “summon” more.
Destroy those that interfere with exploring an important room or reaching your destination.
EMP grenades
EMP grenades are also helpful in neutralizing turrets.
However, remember that theEMP charge only temporarily disables the Hopper- it doesn’t destroy the turret.
