You have to get inside to move the story quest forward.

When Alyson puts out the fire in the garage, she will immediately notice a hole in the floor.
She will also point out the strange pattern on the lid of the trunk.
Take a crowbar from the living room and destroy the floor.
That’s the only way you get to the box.
To get to the trunk you have to:
Pliers lie on a shelf in the utility room.
it’s possible for you to use them to cut the padlock.
That way you might get inside easily.
