It allows you to recruit a new member of the team - a robot namedSAM.

Go to the captain’s quarters and interact with the terminal.
After searching forSAMphrase you will find a few entries.One of them speaks of a delayed supply of anacid steeper.
Your job is to get that part.
To do so, you will have to go toRoseway.
You will find theacid steeperin a large hall filled with shelves.
