You get upgrades by spending scrap.

Some gadgets can be improved with passive skills.
Can you lose a weapon?
Fortunately, even if your weapons are taken from you, you will be able to recover them quickly.
Melee weapons, have limited durability - except Ellie’s switchbladewhich can be used, e.g.
to perform an infinite number of stealth kills.
Each melee weapon has a certain number of uses before it gets destroyed.
Fortunately, Ellie and Abby are able to use skills that allow them to repair a particular weapon once.

After that, it gets destroyed and it’s crucial that you craft another one.
The switchblade is indestructible, but it inflicts little damage.
This makes it a weak choice for direct confrontation.
Look for a bigger melee weapon or simply start using firearms.

It is best to look for weapons that have a large number of uses, i.e.
This is Ellie’s primary weapon - she has it from the very beginning of the game.
The pistol doesn’t inflict heavy damage - aim at the heads of opponents.
Use a silencer to kill enemies quietly and remove it during a direct confrontation.
It is a great ranged weapon, especially since one of its improvements is a scope.

You get this weapon during the exploration of Seattle Downtownwhich takes place during theSeattle, Day 1chapter.
Revolver can be useful in those situations where you are running out of ammunition for other guns.
take a stab at get the upgrade that increases the damage inflicted by the revolver.
The best use for a bow is, of course, to kill opponents quietly from greater distances.
Remember to adjust the crosshair accordingly to the distance.
Get the Rangefinder upgrade for the bow to improve your aiming.
You will also be able to craft explosive arrows, which are ideal for attacking groups of opponents.
Ellie can obtain this weapon in the final part of the story campaign, in the Santa Barbara chapter.
Ellie is able to produce health kits from the start of the game, specifically from thePatrolstage onward.
Do not ignore lost health points, because inTLoU 2the health bar doesn’t regenerate automatically.

Ellie learns how to make Molotov cocktails in thePatrolstage after she receives this item from Dina.
Initially, the only use for bombs is to stun enemies temporarily or expose them to attacks.
The first mine can be found in the Capitol Hill stage.
After that, Ellie will be able to produce more of them herself.
It’s a great gadget for killing dogs and strong infected, assuming you use it correctly.
Alternatively, you might use them to kill opponents you have grabbed faster.
Abby can pick up various melee weaponsfound in the game world, e.g.
baseball bats, hammers or machetes.
It is best to look for weapons that have a large number of uses, i.e.
BuyCraft melee upgradesandImproved melee weapon upgradespassive skills to repair and strengthen these weapons.
Abby’s primary weapon- it can be used fromThe Stadiumstage onwards.
As with Ellie’s pistol, attempt to aim at the heads.
Otherwise, the shots will only scratch the opponents.
This is the only weapon that can use a silencer.
This is Abby’s second starting weapon- available fromThe Stadiumstage onward.

The shotgun’s base damage is high but this can be further increased with one of the upgrades.

They work the same as Ellie’s.
it’s possible for you to also increase the healing effectiveness with one of the passive abilities.
Abby can craft pipe bombs right from the beginning-from The Stadiumstage.
They are great for attacking groups of opponents who are unaware of Abby’s presence and do not move.
A pipe bomb explodes shortly after it lands on the ground.
We recommend getting the passive abilities that increase the range and effectiveness of bombs.
