Character’s vitality

The character’s vitality is displayed on the left side of the screen.

We highlighted the witcher’s health bar in the screenshot above.

Vitality cannot be regenerated during combat.

However, it can be affected by drinking potions:

Parrying hits doesn’t negate damage.

You should keep this in mind, especially if you are low on vitality.

Enemy vitality

The opponent’s vitality is visible just above their head.

By attacking your opponent, you could keep their health points under control.

It’s worth remembering that some monsters are weaker to strong hits and others to fast ones.

This significantly affects the amount of hit points they lose.

Witcher Signs

it’s possible for you to use witcher signs during the battle.

You will start the game with a sign that allows you to attack with fire.

Witcher signs recharge during combat.

The better you are at attacking, the faster the sign will recharge.

Each witcher sign has a specific cooldown timer.

This will throw them off balance.

Bombs

Bombs can be bought or crafted.

you might carry several bombs, but only of one throw in.

Keep in mind the monster’s weaknesses when selecting the bombs.

This will increase your chances of winning the fight.

Critical hit

Critical hits charge up during the fight.

The critical hit meter is located above the character’s vitality bar.

The Witcher: Monster Slayer

The critical hit meter will drop when you receive damage.

However, this will not happen if you parry your opponent’s blow.

This task can be difficult, because your character is constantly vulnerable to injury.
